Platlet-Rich Plasma

What is Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP)

Platelet-Rich Plasmsa (PRP) is an autologous treatment that uses a patient’s own blood to promote tissue healing. After a small blood sample is collected, it is processed in a centrifuge to concentrate platelets, which contain growth factors that support tissue repair. The PRP is then injected into the injured area using ultrasound guidance for optional accuracy. Because PRP uses your own blood, the risk of adverse reaction is extremely low. Recovery protocols vary depending on the condition being treated.

Common indications include:

  • Tendon injuries (including rotator cuff, Achilles, and tennis elbow

  • Mild to moderate osteoarthritis

  • Ligament injuries

  • Select post-surgical healing applications

STEM cell therapy and Prolotherapy is also available.
